A crowd outside the courthouse erupted in screams of triumph after a jury convicted Dr. Conrad Murray of involuntary manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson.
"I never thought he would go on to be this huge," John Smith, 60, told The Huffington Post. "Mike was loved for his human rights, charity and music. Conrad Murray is going to be found guilty."
Before the verdict was read, crowds outside the courthouse chanted, "Guilty, guilty, guilty."
Murray has been remanded without bail until his sentencing on Nov. 29. He could face a sentence as light as probation or as harsh as four years in prison, according to the Associated Press.
