Herman Cain Sexual Harassment Charges: Fourth Woman Makes Allegations Against Candidate

A fourth woman is making sexual harassment allegations against Herman Cain, claiming that the Republican presidential candidate exhibited inappropriate behavior when he was serving as head of the National Restaurant Association more than a decade ago, according to Michael van Poppel at BNO News.

The woman reportedly making the accusations will hold a press conference with her attorney Gloria Allred on Monday.

Politico's initial report cited that two women accused Cain of inappropriate behavior. A third ex-employee came forward last Wednesday, alleging misconduct on his part.

Cain has denied the sexual harassment charges from the start. On Saturday, he appeared to be in no mood to answer questions on the issue, snapping at reporters before his one-on-one debate with fellow GOP presidential candidate Newt Gingrich.

Cain supporters directed some dissatisfaction toward the media last week, releasing an ad criticizing the coverage of the sexual harassment controversy. Gingrich echoed those sentiments in a Monday morning interview on NBC's "Today" Show, saying there is a gap between the "gossip" reporters pursue and deeper issues at hand.

Cain's Iowa director, Larry Tuel, has also expressed suspicion regarding the timing of the swarm of sexual harassment allegations.

"This story's been known about," Tuel told The National Review. "It's not like this just popped up. I know reporters that have known about it for weeks and weeks. And all of a sudden when Mr. Cain gets to the top of the polls, ahead of Romney -- 29-23 in one -- then the story breaks. The timing, to me, is odd."

Timing aside, one of the women involved reportedly felt that her employment was threatened by Cain's alleged actions. A source told Politico that "she perceived that her job was at risk if she didn’t do it."

Herman Cain groped ME too!

It was 1998 but it seems like just yesterday when he called me into his office and made unwanted sexual advances towards me. (Sob.) I didn't know who to turn to.

Finally I decided to take charge of my life and called Gloria Allred, who had defended the orphaned Menendez brothers after they shotgunned their parents to death to get an early inheritance. (Sniff.) She said there might be a good deal of what she called "reparations" in it for me. I had no interest in THAT, of course.

But when she recommended a good hairdresser and celebrity makeover artist and added the name of a good ghost writer, I realized my responsibility. Gloria was THERE for me when I needed her. She's STILL here for me. In every photo she's there with her arm around me. A friend in need is a friend in deed.

I can finally get that pair of lime green Gucci puccis I've had my eye on. A matching outfit from Nieman-Marcus would be awesome during the interviews.

But (sob) the point is that this outrage of a human being, this fornication upon the sanctity of womanhood, will be exposed for the worm he is.

It's the principal that counts. My deeply personal friend and advisor, by the way, Gloria, is asking for one third of that principal. I think she meant one fourth. We must get together, talk this over.

This isn't about Allred, timing, democrats, repubs, or who leaked it to the press....it's about a man who thinks that he can deflect the responsibility of his actions onto someone else. It's about a person running to be the leader of the 'not as free as we used to be' world who hasn't shown anything but contempt for honesty. It wasn't too long ago that he was quoted as saying that if you weren't successful or wealthy- it was your own fault. He's not going to be very successful in this regard and he doesn't seem to take responsibility for his own behavior. The press didn't hurt his wife, the alleged victims didn't hurt his wife- his bad judgement hurt his wife. Buck up dude- if you can't do the time- don't do the crime. He is not presidential timber- just wood.

To think that Repubs were all appalled at Clinton's behaviour and even went after him in the impeachment. Now, these same Repubs are singing a different tune by defending someone like Cain, a classless cad. Why the reversal? Apparently as long as you are a Repub, or as they say: "one of us" the sky's the limit when it comes to misbehaving.

Sexual harrassment is never OK. Sex between 2 consentng adults is not sexual harrassment. Anyone getting it on the seide through intimidation is just as guilty. Filandering may be distasteful but not illegal as is the case of sexual harrassment in the work place. Companies spend millions of dollars in the workplace today to keep this from happening but you don't see the difference?
