If you need some inspiration today, meet some of the women honored last night at Glamour's 21st Annual Women of the Year awards gala in New York City. Hosted by Glamour Editor-in-Chief Cindi Leive, the awards honored amazing women in a range of different fields, among them Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, who survived the unthinkable in January, artist Cindy Sherman, actor Lea Michele, comedian Chelsea Handler, Jennifer Lopez, and Arianna, who accepted her award from Barbara Walters.
The awards also recognized women of all ages for their incredible efforts to make the world better for women, from feminist trailblazer Gloria Steinem to 22-year-old Withelma "T" Ortiz-Macey, a former child prostitute who has become one of the country's most vocal crusaders against child sex trafficking.
The evening was filled with memorable moments, but don't take our word for it. Watch Arianna's speech above, and the videos below of Gabby Gifford, J. Lo, "T," and others accepting their awards.
