Chaz Bono Shows Off Stubble In Out (PHOTO)

There's no doubt that Chaz Bono has come leaps and bounds in terms of owning his transformation since he first cha-cha-chaed across the "Dancing with the Stars" ballroom floor and into the hearts of viewers across the country. And "Dancing" fans aren't the only ones who are taking notice -- Bono was named among OUT magazine's 100 most influential gay, lesbian and transgender men and women.

And he's in good company. Adam Lambert, Tim Gunn, Brad Goreski and Lance Bass were also named by the magazine.

But one thing we can't understand is why Bono is shaving off the facial hair he was so proud to grow.

"I've always been attracted to facial hair since I was a little kid," Bono told me in August. "I remember my mom had a boyfriend for years that I absolutely adored. He had a beard. I remember thinking I wish I could have a beard like that."

Why are so many comments so nasty? Chaz has come a long way on a very difficult journey. He's fortunate to have a mother who loves and accepts him. He's got personality, drive and confidence, because without those, going public (and on TV) would have be extraordinarily difficult or impossible for the average Joe. Kudos to you Chaz for publicly showing the world how much is possible.

I don't understand why Chaz wants a job in the field of entertainment. Not to be cruel but he cannot dance like a pro, doesn't seem to project any type of personality of TV to entertain. Displaying pictures of of his scars and deep stretch mark on his breasts are quite painful looking, let alone his huge belly. Many men and woman including myself were black lose clothing to try and flatter themselves. If Cher was not his mother he would never be on TV. I would like to be entertained not constantly be reminded how hard live is. I don't see Elizabeth Taylors child parading around TV. Chaz get a real job, and work for a living in a field that suits you.

I have no feelings either way about Chaz/Chasity Bono on his decision on being a man. What I see in this picture is a man shaving which we see every day on TV. I think the true injustice is that so many people feel it's there (thinking, values, and religion), if you don't agree with that then you are (fill in the blank). My heart goes out to anyone that wants to make their life better and it is a struggle. We in our civilization feel we have the right to chastise, BULLY, and make someone’s life a living hell all in the name of righteousness. Television today showing teenage bullying and you wonder why it is getting out of control. Well look at the adults that are raising there children. After reading the below ramblings we can get a glimpse into where their children learn this behavior. We are fighting so much for freedom of organized religion in this country. Maybe if we would live and let live or live life to the fullest, but please believe it should never include terrorizing others for our believes. Well I feel better and I hope everyone goes out today and steps up and just be kind and a little less judgmental. I know you can do it.

It is quite disappointing that we in this society feel the need to judge others so harshly. What a person looks like is so unimportant, it is what is in their heart and soul that counts. Wouldn it not be better to look at ones own self and how you treat others, rather than pass judgement and be cruel in the process? It is no wonder this world is in the state that it is....more compassion is obviously need.

I, like so many people, admire and support you Chaz Bono. I don't think you court publicity or fame for fame sake. I think you have chosen to make a difference for gay, lesbian and transgender people everywhere by being VISABLE. Congrats to you and please keep having your picture taken and published. I love looking at your bright, shining, handsome face. I LOVE looking at you.
