In Holland Park Sikh Gurdwara, Children are in Charge (VIDEO)

WATCH: In West London Gurdwara, Children Are in Control

The Gurdwara Khalsa Jatha in Holland Park, the oldest Sikh place of worship in the U.K. is handling control over to children for one day a month. The BBC reports that the idea came from parents who wanted their children to have a bigger role in the worship service. Every aspect of the service was made more child-friendly, with kirtan (devotional songs) either translated or sung in English rather than in Punjabi, pasta and chips served alongside traditional Indian fare, and arts and crafts to create a sense of community and fun.
