Nancy Grace Eliminated: 'Dancing With the Stars' Eliminates HLN Host

LOS ANGELES — Nancy Grace is done with "Dancing With the Stars."

The attorney and TV personality was dismissed from the ABC ballroom competition Tuesday, one week shy of the show's semifinals.

Grace said she's proud of all she accomplished on the show, but she credited her professional partner, Tristan MacManus.

"It's been all Tristan from the get-go," she said. She thanked the show's crew, her family, "and especially you, Tris. Thank you."

Rehearsal footage of Grace and MacManus shown throughout the past several weeks revealed the couple frequently butting heads.

"That was nice," replied MacManus, who was newly featured on the show this season. "Thanks for being very welcoming to me and also to Nancy. ... We can't be disappointed to make it this far. From the start, we always said it's not about being the best, it's about doing your best."

Grace came into Tuesday's episode in last place with 44 points out of 60. On Monday, judge Len Goodman compared her to Cinderella.

"You've come to the ball," he said. "It's midnight and it's time to go home."

Judges' scores combined with viewer votes determine which contestant is ousted each week.

The four remaining celebrity dancers – reality star Rob Kardashian, actor and Army veteran J.R. Martinez, TV personality Ricki Lake and soccer star Hope Solo – will compete in the semifinals Monday.

Grace joins seven previously ousted contestants: actor David Arquette, activist Chaz Bono, singer Chynna Phillips, actress Elisabetta Canalis, basketball player Metta World Peace, and TV personalities Kristin Cavallari and Carson Kressley.

I feel Nancy Grace should have been let go long before she was. But when you have CNN, HLN, and True TV voteing, which I though was so unfair that networks were allowed to do this, than who would have a chance.
The only reason she didn't go farther was because it had gotten so evident that they couldn't keep her going. Than after being away from her twins for eight weeks and her husband, they say they practice 8 hours a day, 7 days a week, does she take any time off? No, she is all over the networks and right back on her TV show.
No, I am not and never have been one of her fans. Guess you can tell. LOL Just saying my peace.

I feel Nancy Grace should have been eliminated long before she was. And if She hadnt of had CNN, HLN, and True TV networks to back her she would have been. That was so unfair. She talks about her twins, and was away from them for eight weeks, so what does she do when she was let go from DWTS? Right back to her TV show, and all over the networks. I mean I would have thought she would have taken some time to be home with her husband and the twins. Wouldn't you?
No I am not a fan of her's, never have been. Just speaking my peace.

I have to watch DWTS online because my family moans unbearably if I try to watch it live..hehehe

Len hit the nail on the head when he told Nancy that it was time for her to go. Nothing personal but others that have already left were better dancers.

Hope's not that good either. She's just not very graceful. The best dancing I've seen her do was in the group Paso. She wakes up when the music gets hard (I think she's more of a metal head). Rob's decent but this competition has been clearly between Rikki & J.R. for a while now.

The judges seem a little harder on Rikki than the others (IMO)

It was overdue for Nancy Grace to be off the show. However, I have to give her a lot of credit as she improved every week...and really...isn't that a great part of what DWTS is all about? My well wishes got to Nancy and Tristan...they fought a hard fight. Both should be commended for their obvious dedication to DWTS. Now we'll watch you Nancy, as we know you. A tough attorney with a big heart. Take care...PJ

The bottom feeder found her rightful place on the bottom of the heap. She does, however, join the company of that lumpy Palin girl as being the only contestants to gain weight while dancing non-stop.
