'Venus In Fur': Hugh Dancy's Erotic Broadway Show (PREVIEW)

Highlights From Hugh Dancy's Role In A Deepy Erotic Broadway Show

Hugh Dancy has somehow managed to evade the path that normally haunts men of his, ahem, looks, opting for the kinds of unflashy film and stage moves that make for a long career. His choices, however, are much flashier than they're given credit for -- this year, Dancy plays opposite Elizabeth Olsen in "Martha Marcy May Marlene," a film about a small cult commune, and another about how the vibrator came to be. Now, he's taking a turn on Broadway in David Ives' erotic comedy, "Venus in Furs," opposite "Born Yesterday" Broadway star Nina Arianda. The play, which settles on the rapport between a director and actor, has an ease to the dialogue and freshness in the acting, as seen in this preview from Playbill. And while the relationship between this director/actress delves into sexually dangerous territory, it's still very funny.
