Rob Mocarsky, Former Maine Kindergarten Teacher, Sentenced To 16 Years For Child Porn

BANGOR, Maine -- A former Maine kindergarten teacher who admits producing child pornography involving four children in his class is going to prison for 16 years.

Forty-one-year-old Rob Mocarsky was arrested in January after a parent complained he made one of his pupils dress up in a French maid's costume and then took photos of her. Police say a search of his school and computers revealed he took sexually explicit photographs of four of his pupils.

Mocarsky taught in Jackman, a town of about 800 residents in the western part of the state.

He pleaded guilty in June to producing child pornography. He was sentenced Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Bangor.

I dont get it. This man gets 16 years in prison, and the female predators who rape 12 year old boys in there classroom get probation. We have all heard about female teachers who rape students and only get probation or a light jail sentence, WHERE IS THE OUTCRY IN THOSE CASES. The justice system is out of wack

What is it with people and child porn? We need to change the laws in this country about child porn. Only a sick SOB would get off on seeing little child having sex. So I think we should pass a death penalty law for child porn. The ones who make it and those who watch it. Then kill those who rape little children.

I have done some research. There are 8.16 million registered voters in Ohio. Approx. 1.34 million of them voted Tuesday. There are 655,000 union members in Ohio. The repeal(union) votes were approx . 963,000 against about 365,000 for the issue. I conclude that almost all union members(enraged as they were that they were about to lost some of their power) voted and voted against the issue. % wise. That means 8% of the voters in Ohio controlled the election. If the other 92% had gotten off their couchs and voted what would the results have been then? I suggest that the issue would have passed. Kasich needs to get another vote in 2012, when many more voters will vote. Let's see if the unions can control it then. Don't think so.

And yes, in reply to your White Collar remark, I did have a career in management for the last 40 some years. So there. Live with it.

How dare you besmirch the thousands of hard-working, dedicated teachers in this country!
Unfortunately, there are individuals in the profession who shouldn't be around children. Maybe
more needs to be done as far as screening is concerned. That said, I am a retired school
counselor and consider myself blessed to have worked with some of the finest men and
women who happen to be teachers. You sound like you have an ax to grind. I'm glad that SB5
was defeated!!!!!!!

Whose ax needs ground? 40-50 years ago, what you say was true. In the years since JFK and the big leftist change in the Dem party, not so much now. Teachers have become largely selfish and self serving. Their tenture is more important than benefiting the children.

When I was in college, to become a teacher, I used to listen and look around, and wonder, would I really want some of these idiots teaching my future children. What I feared has proven true nowadays. The older generation of teaching really dedicated to education is past. The new genre serves itself.

Besmirch? No I am certain there are good teachers, but the bulk, it seems are not.
You as a retired school counselor, I suspect are the one with the ax to grind. Comments hit a little too close to home, did they?

In the meanwhile, don't continue to fool me as to the true intentions of the teacher unions. I don't buy that lie.

As to SB5, as I commented the end if not here yet. Layoffs, cutbacks, all will happen now that the state has to try to rebalance its budget. Teachers and unions may be happy now, but wait until the bad stuff they have caused starts.

So, the battle was lost, but the war among honest taxpaying voters goes on. Live with it while you can.

In the last few days, news reports, around Ohio, show that the layoffs are here. I said the unions were short sighted, and in the long run, they were hurting themselves and the other taxpayers. What I didn't calulate was how soon it would start occuring.

Ha.Ha. Unions you are getting what you voted for.
