WATCH: Where In The World Is Matt Lauer? Day 4 Location Revealed

Matt Lauer has been cruising across the world this week in the return of "Today's" feature, "Where In The World Is Matt Lauer?"

Lauer stunned his co-hosts when he arrived in Namibia on Monday, jetted to Madrid on Tuesday, and reported from Kuala Lampur, Malaysia on Wednesday.

He left "Today" viewers with his fourth clue of the week and said, "time is of the essence as we train our sights on where it all began for us in 1998."

Ann Curry, Al Roker, and Natalie Morales all attempted to guess Lauer's destination. Morales, who had been close to guessing Lauer's location twice this week, accurately named Lauer's location as the Swiss Alps.

When Lauer first embarked on the "Where In The World" series, he reported from the Sphinx in Cairo, Egypt. He referenced this trip in his clue because he stood over 11,000 feet above sea level at the Jungfraujoch’s Sphinx Observatory, in the Swiss Alps on Thursday.
