Norquist's comments reflect the continued and entrenched welfare mentality of conservatives.........They always look to blame someone else for not getting what they believe they are entitlted to..........................And who do they always blame? The democrats, the media and the victim............................The latest Herman Cain fiasco is ample and convincing proof of this.......................Who  Read More...

Put a sock in it boy, it's time put this person in his place.

I would start by opening his tax file for the last 10 years and dig all the dirt, anybody that hate taxes so much has something to hide and he probably cheated on his taxes.

Jail time soon.

Why did Congress give up on revenue-neutral tax reform based on the Simpson-Bowles committee’s suggestions? http://eng.am/usFAFs

The Simpson-Bowles committee found that by removing tax expenditures and reducing marginal tax rates Congress would be able to simplify the tax code, improve fairness, and spur economic growth. http://eng.am/noTDPF

For America’s sake we need everyone on the Super Committee to support revenue-neutral tax reform.

Poor little Goober Norquist. The only time he speaks up is when he feels that his power is threatened. I guess he is shaking in his boots now that those who signed no new taxes pledge are abandoning him. Whine, Goober, whine!

You, Mr. Norquist, have set up congress to fail because all the GOPTea are your pledge signers.

Can't wait until the GOPTea are voted-out of office next year and believe me, they will be!!

What's that, Grover, the sitting Democrats on the committee want the committee to fail? Kinda like the whole GOP caucus wants the COUNTRY to fail, so they can blame the President?

This guy has been a sleaze and a shill his whole life, starting back in college days when he and his buddy Jack Abramoff were paid propagandists for the apatheid regime in South Africa.

is this the same Grover Norquist who is Rick Perry's buddy ...  and pushes for anti-tax raising so big businesses can thrive with little or no oversight (while the American working class shoulders the burden ) ... .... so that his pro-Arab economic positions benefit his friends?

gee ... the people who think Norquist is the Republican tax savior ought to check out his background ...

yep - this is the same guy who went on vacation (ahem, business trips) with Rick Perry.

Cut defense spending by cutting retiree benefits? Is the man insane? Doesn't he realize military personnel who are retired do not qualify for social security? What does he want them to do? Goto work a Wal-Mart as a greeter at age 55? What a one-issue small minded man.

Soooo...this is the "new" GOP strategy: "Say its the Democrats that want the debt talks to fail".

I guess they are trying to fight against the OBVIOUS fact that the Republicans in Congress (both in the House and Senate) have voted NO on every single meaningful piece of legislation that would help move the Middle Class and Low Income Americans onto better economic ground.

If this current rhetoric isn't hypocrisy, I don't know what is...

Why is he relevant to our politics? This man has divided Congress with his tax crap! He needs to be told abruptly that he needs to get out of the way of our policies. He is bad for our country, along with Koch, Murdochs and the supreme court justices, as well as a lot of those ridiculous republicans. They seem to be against the middle class of America and it is not right. Time to say bye-bye to those obstructionists!. People wake up and make sure their policies are voted out.

Never take your marching orders from a dweeb! Grover will get his 1% head run over by the 99% super express that is blasting through city after city. Excuse me but the 99% is awake, voting, organizing and kicking your a$$es out of office.
