David Nelson Touchdown: Kelsi Reich, Cowboys Cheerleader, Gets Ball (VIDEO)

Before returning to his native Dallas with the Buffalo Bills, wide receiver David Nelson revealed that he had something planned should he score a touchdown against the Cowboys. He hinted to BuffaloBills.com that his special celebration would involve his girlfriend Kelsi Reich, a Dallas cheerleader.

"If I'm in the area where she is I'm sure I'll have something planned for that, but I also don't want to get her in too much trouble," he said on Thursday. "I obviously couldn't get in trouble, but she could. I'm discussing some things and try to surprise her a little bit if maybe something happens."

In the second quarter after scoring Buffalo's first touchdown of the game, Nelson saw Reich down the sideline on the Bills' side. He ran all the way over, handed her the ball and gave her a big hug.

To the chagrin of sideline romantics, the celebration did not include a marriage proposal. But based on her reaction, Reich was likely happy not to draw any further attention for cavorting with the visiting team. Her boss Jerry Jones probably feels the same way.

“I thought it was a neat as a pin,” Jerry Jones said Tuesday on KRLD-FM. “Frankly, our cheerleaders get the recognition that they get. I know it was a surprise to her, but I sure enjoyed looking at the highlights on ESPN and coverage like that to focus on that part of it. There’s a lot about sports. A little romance thrown in from time to time is another big plus.”

I sincerely thought this was awesome. What's the problem?

They were losing, what 21-6? Help me but wasn't Nelson the one who scored the 6? Maybe if the other players were more motivated to impress their hot girlfriend who happens to be a Cowboys cheerleader (oh what, they don't have one?) the score wouldn't have been so lopsided.

What's Nelson supposed to be? Demoralized? Wouldn't that have pretty much meant he'd given up on the game? Looks to me like he was the only one with something still left to play for. The rest of the Bills could have taken a clue.

And let me help all the miserable old birds, yeah, they're young, they're hot, they're rich and they're probably doing it. Get over it. People are still allowed to be happy and make a living.
