Reporting from Las Vegas— The Ballard house was as unassuming as any in the stucco outskirts of Las Vegas: a two-story box the color of an oatmeal cookie. Police charged inside one night searching for a domestic violence suspect. Instead, they smelled something skunky.

with new surveillance technologies... most places that grow pot
indoors do release a signature heat mode ... even hand held instruments are available
you can even tell how many people are there in a house ....unless the place is on fire
and distortions occur ...
However....
You will " NEVA " stop whatever is going on.... the money's too darn good
and unless it's legalised.... it will continue... and even worse

You should have a pretty good clue what's going on if there's tin foil on all the windows and the electric meter is spinning like a top.

We need to end this prohibition. Pot can be managed through health services better than paying for prisons, attorneys and drug enforcement agencies.

Want to defund the Mexican Kill Cartels? Want the Police concentrating on child abuse and other criminals? Want to lower your taxes? Make pot legal.

If you don't want pot legal then you must be in favor of sending huge amounts of money to Mexico!

Not the first criminal enterprise to take over foreclosed or vacant homes.

Perfect target for organized crime, good chance the criminals won't get caught.

People have used vacant homes for parties, strip clubs, drug dens, prostitution, identity thieves, and so on. NY Times article: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/10/15/nyregion/foreclosures-empty-homes-and-criminals-fill-them-up.html?_r=1

You can't have crime without opportunity," said William Sousa, a criminologist at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. "And all those empty homes present an opportunity for criminal activity."

we can't find billions to feed the hungry, clothe the cold, house the poor, heal the sick, educate the young, care for the old or provide safe retirements, but we can find billions to make sure people don't smoke a few joints.
