'Being Flynn' Trailer Released: Robert De Niro And Paul Dano Play Estranged Father And Son

Robert De Niro LOSES It!

First of all, it's nice to see Robert De Niro behind the wheel of a taxi cab, am I right?

Despite the familiar ride, the newly released trailer for "Being Flynn" teases a totally fresh role for the star.

Here De Niro plays an estranged father who reunites with his fledgling-writer-turned-social-worker son (Paul Dano) after checking into a homeless shelter. The two go through a painful self-examination as they begin to reconnect as father and son.

The drama is an adaptation of Nick Flynn's memoir "Another Bullshit Night in Suck City," written and directed by Oscar nominated filmmaker Paul Weitz ("About a Boy"). Julianne Moore and Olivia Thirlby join as the supporting cast.

"Being Flynn" is slotted to be released in Spring 2012.

From its all-star (yet unexpected) cast to its new take on the father-son journey, we definitely like what we see.
