Woman Charged With Spraying Metra Conductor With Mace

Metra Passenger Allegedly Sprayed Conductor With Mace

A woman was arrested Monday after she sprayed a Metra conductor in the face with mace at the College Avenue train depot around 8:40 a.m.

The woman refused to show a conductor her ticket after she stepped off the eastbound Metra commuter train at College Avenue. When a second conductor requested to see the ticket, she pulled the can of mace out of her purse and sprayed him in the face, according to a press release from the Wheaton Police Department.

Latoya Moore, 27, of West Chicago, was arrested and charged with one felony count of aggravated battery to a protected class and one count of misdemeanor theft of services, police said.
