Kim Kardashian 'Haute Muse' Cover Channels Frida Kahlo (PHOTOS)

Newly single Kim Kardashian poses against a striking red backdrop for the December cover of Haute Muse magazine.

In the mag, Kim waxes enthusiastic about her adventures in the Middle East (where she was photographed wearing a burqa), according to Bossip:

"I've been having so much fun in Dubai. I love it here so much. I've never been to Armenia, where my family is from and this is my first time to the Middle East, so I'm thankful for such a warm welcome. It feels like home."

We think Kim looks gorgeous with her ruby lips, dramatic eyebrows, statement metal earrings and sheer black top, and we couldn't help but be reminded of another dark-haired beauty: famous artist Frida Kahlo. Do you agree? Check out our comparison, and the mag cover, below.

Not to mention being a brilliant artist and an activist for women, Frida also suffered immeasurably physically. Her inspiration was born from pain. I don't dislike Kim but shame on you HP for comparing her to someone of Frida Kahlo's stature. Their names don't belong on the same page together. Also, the photos look nothing alike.

I wood vote not to end the kardasians, we all watched them get married because we all loved Kim and family. Now people are angry, because they think they've been duped, nonsense, think how horrible this couple feels especially Kim k. Why would anyone put themselves thru this thrasing everyone is giving her. Leave her alone and think about maybe she thought once she got married she could change him (not a good thing but how many woman have thought that) but found out that jerk couldn't be changed. He was such a jerk, and baby, so please be happy she didn't get pregnant.

Huffington Post, WTH is going on? Frida Kahlo was a revolutionary feminist, not to mention talented artist as well. Kim is a pretty girl but is not original. How can you compare a woman who has surgically altered her entire appearance to a woman who was proud of her unibrow, cultural dress and non-conformist beauty?!!!! GET REAL!!!

She had a nose job and other enhancements. Speculations from professional plastic surgeons include eyebrow lift and mini face lift in addition to liposuction documented in divorce proceedings from her first husband. Breast augmentation also probable. Her choices and I understand the climate in the business but Frida Kahlo would never have done anything to alter herself.

In her appearances with Paris Hilton and first photos out on the scene in 2006 she almost looks like a different person. Not sure if my other comment will be approved but it is extensive. Search Kim Plastic Surgery to see before and after photos. Plastic surgeons have weighed in on her procedures. Like other celebrities the pressure to look good may have fueled her desires to be the prettiest. IMO there were conformist elements in her desire to mainstream ethnic looking physical features. Something Frida would have never ever wanted to do or be.
