'Marcel The Shell With Shoes On, Two' Is Here To Warm Your Heart (VIDEO)

Marcel the Shell, the seashell with pink sneakers voiced by "Saturday Night Live" alum Jenny Slate who climbed his way into our hearts back in 2010, is back with a brand new video.

Since a book and a TV show about the character were recently announced, it should come as no surprise that Slate and director Dean Fleischer-Camp are hard at work making more videos with the Internet's favorite soft-spoken tiny dude, and we couldn't be more thrilled about it.

Honestly, if you don't feel fuzzy inside when he says, "Guess why I smile a lot. Uh, 'cause it's worth it," then maybe check yourself for a pulse. This stuff is wonderful.

You can catch both Slate and Fleischer-Camp performing at the People's Improv Theatre in New York City this Sunday, November 20.

Except that "Penny" was a little GIRL and Marcel is a SHELL. If you try hard enough everything could seem "like" everything else.
Back in the 70's, on Rowan & Martin's Laugh In, there was a character named Edith Ann, played by Lily Tomilin, who was a little girl in a BIG rocking chair and rambled on and on. Maybe Penny was copied from HER. (See what I mean?)

Marcel already HAS a pet. It is a fuzzball from a bottle, named "Alan", that Marcel drags behind saying, "Come here, come here, I love you!" Cutest thing EVER!
