Susan Sarandon: Eva Amurri's Wedding Was 'Moving'

Susan Sarandon 'Moved' By Daughter's Wedding

After divorcing her husband in 1978, Oscar winning actress Susan Sarandon once famously stated: "I no longer believe in marriage."

But it seems that her daughter, Eva Amurri, might be changing her mother's mind. Just last month, the 26-year-old Californication star married former MLS soccer player Kyle Martino in Charleston, South Carolina.

"I was very moved by the strength of Eva's commitment and her certainty," Sarandon told British magazine HELLO! in the upcoming Nov. 21 issue. "The lead-up to this moment was effortless because it was so obviously right."

Although Sarandon chose not to tie the knot with Tim Robbins (her former partner of 21 years), she was still supportive of her daughter's decision to marry. "It was a beautiful occasion, most importantly because we were all together to witness what they had found together," Sarandon told HELLO! "She was the most beautiful woman I've ever seen, full of love, generosity and strength."

And it seems that Amurri might have gotten some of those traits from her upbringing. According to the magazine, the bride said that Sarandon and Robbin's speeches were "lovely."

"I wasn't surprised they gave wonderful speeches because they've very eloquent, caring, great people," Amurri told HELLO!

As for marriage advice, Sarandon offered up some wise words, reportedly telling the newlyweds "to live their lives as the ongoing creation of a beautiful, unique work of art."
