Jason Segel 'Saturday Night Live' Promos With Vanessa Bayer (VIDEO)

"The Muppets" star Jason Segel will be hosting "Saturday Night Live" for the first time this weekend, and if these promos he shot with Vanessa Bayer are any indication, we're in for a fun episode.

Segel has proven to have a lot of self-deprecating charm with his roles in "How I Met Your Mother" and "Forgetting Sarah Marshall," so it's possible we'll see some of that on Saturday night, but wouldn't it be awesome if the Muppets made a surprise cameo? Sure, it's not quite the Oscars, but if an online petition can get Betty White the coveted position of "SNL" host, then maybe there's a place on that stage for everyone's favorite talking frog and glamorous blonde pig.

SNL used to be one of the funniest shows on TV when Chevy Chase, Dan Akroyd, and Eddie Murphy, etc... was part of the cast.

Now it's just a very "lame" show with bad jokes and skits.

It was funnier when Chris Farley and Mike Myers were on. Who cares how old the references are. The point is it SUCKS! I want my 2 minutes back,

you obviously were in a funk thereafter because there have been lots of hilarious comedy on that show. my favorite, phil hartmann, was incredible and bill murray is way funny too. you didn't mention gilda or jane curtin, dana carvey, jan hooks, nora dunn, jimmy fallon, will ferrel, chris farley, will forte,chris kataan, julia louis dreyfus, john lovitz, michael mckean, seth ,meyers, garrett morris, cheri oteri, laraine newman, amy poehler, tina fey, chris rock, andy samberg, molly shannon, martin short, robert smigel, ben stiller, kenan thompson, damon wayans, kristen wiig, jason sudekis...
al franken, jeanane garofalo, chris guest, bill hader...need i go on?
so get out of the coffin and get to catching up with a variety of humor

I didn't want to start listing every single cast member, or go into all the different shows and casts, but only listed the ones I really liked the most since the start of the show. There are a lot of others, some of whom you've listed who I liked also. I have watched the show from time to time, and every now and then they do have a good show, like when they were doing the skits on Palin with Tiny Fey, really liked those. But lately it's been steadily going downhill. So...I'm not in some "coffin" as you assumed. That's why I said you could list them if you'd like because I didn't feel like doing that.
I was just making a point about the show not being what it used to be.

This dude is one of the most annoying actors I have ever seen. I couldn't stand him in Freaks and Geeks or Undeclared, nothing he's done since has changed my opinion. What do people see in him? Maybe he should just stay on the other side of the camera.

Really? Those promos make you think SNL is going to be good? Really? How much are you getting paid to promote this tripe?
