Parrish Young Touchdown: High School RB Hurdles Defender En Route To Amazing Score (VIDEO)

High School RB Hurdles Defender For Amazing Touchdown

Anyone who says that today's youth don't have a solid work ethic, should check out the work that the running backs from Franklin High School (N.C.) put in during their team's 56-28 victory over East Henderson High in the North Carolina High School Athletic Association Class 3A state playoffs. Parrish Young and his backfield mates carried the ball an astounding 43 times and rushed for 477 yards. Henderson had no response for Franklin's signature counter play.

During the most memorable of the team's many runs, Young did just about everything a running back could do to reach the end zone.

In the highlight above, Young took the handoff and ran to his right toward the sideline. Once he broke to the outside, Young hurdled a defender, sidestepped past a linebacker, then barreled through another linebacker and a safety (truck stick anyone?) and easily scored the touchdown.

The win moved the Franklin Panthers into the Sectional Round of the playoffs to face the Burns Bulldogs.
