With "Lion King" raking in a staggering $29.3 million its opening weekend and "Titanic" sailing into theaters this April, it doesn't take a trends wiz to understand this simple principle: People love 3D revamps of classic movies.
But before we'll be belting out "My Heart Will Go On," we'll be saying "Bonjour!" to "Beauty and the Beast."
Disney has just released a trailer for the revamped animated movie.
"Beauty and the Beast" was first released in 1991, earning $171 million since then. The original team will be working on the 3D conversion.
The release will hit theaters on January 13, 2012, which will be followed by "Finding Nemo" in 3D next September.
