Standard Hotel Ice Rink Opens For 2011-12 Season! Kaffehaus To Serve Boozy Drinks (And Food)

The Standard Hotel's Ice Rink Is OPEN

The Standard Hotel debuted its 3,000 square foot ice rink last year, offering up skating lessons, ice hockey tournaments, and fashion shows and all other sorts of winter wonder by the High-Line.

And today, we're happy to announce that the rink's reopened for the 2011-2012 season! And! The Kaffehaus is also back, providing warm (and, if you'd like, boozy) beverages:

Hot cocktails perfect for the holiday season include steamed egg nog, sparkling hard apple cider, Gluhwein and the Standard hot toddy. Super rich hot chocolate comes in white, dark or peanut butter and can be topped with marshmallow or crushed peppermint candy cane. Coffee, tea, wine and soft drinks are also served and all beverages can be spiked for those who want to put some extra pep in their skate.

If you work up a sweat and need sustenance, Kaffehaus will also be serving "sweet and savory crepes and waffles topped with goodness beyond your wildest imagination," as well as soups.

Admission is $12 per person and skate rental is $3. The rink's open from 9 am until midnight Monday through Thursday, from noon until 1 am on Friday, from 9 am until 1 am on Saturday, and from 9 am until midnight on Sunday.

Also, if you feel like going on an ice skating tour of NYC (think Rockefeller Center, Sky Rink at Chelsea Piers), check out this great list to get you started.

And, just because:
