H.R. Giger's Bar Design (VIDEO)

WATCH: Bar Designed By The Oscar-Winning Creator of 'Alien'

The world of surrealist painter and Oscar-winning visual effects wizard H.R. Giger is frightening for most of us. Known for dehumanizing bio-mechanical motifs that became the basis for the monsters in the Alien franchise, digesting Giger's imagery isn't an easy task, unless of course you've already knocked back a few...

It may have been with this in mind that the Swiss painter designed a bar for the museum that bears his name, after the H.R. Giger Museum.

The catch? Concept is everything, and for Giger this was just another opportunity to showcase his twisted world of the mechanical and biological fusion. Having already opened an H.R. Giger Bar in 1992 in Chur, Switzerland, completing the second bar at the site of his museum in Chateau St. Germain, Gruyeres, Switzerland was a piece of cake.

Walking inside is like being swallowed by a futuristic Moby Dick from hell. Spinal columns run the length of the interior, making it feel as though you're getting tipsy inside of a breathing organism. To see more photos of the interior, click here.
