Katherine Heigl Josh Kelley: Couple Opens Up About Marriage At 2011 AMAs

When it comes to the Hollywood spotlight, some celebrity couples crack under the pressure.

But for actress Katherine Heigl and musician Josh Kelley, it doesn't seem to be a problem. The couple, who have been married almost four years, dished about their relationship backstage at the American Music Awards on Sunday, Nov. 20 -- opening up about how they keep their marriage strong.

While most celebrity couples struggle with maintaining their marriage while keeping up with their busy schedules, Heigl and Kelley actually credit their careers with making them so happy.

"It's not easy, but it is ideal if we both have our own thing, our own passions, our own focus on our careers," the 32-year-old actress and mother told Access Hollywood. "We're happy because we have these great careers."

So it's not too surprising that the couple celebrates their time apart. "I think it works for us for sure," said Kelley, a singer and songwriter. "Absence does actually make the heart grow fonder if it's not for too long. It's like new for the first couple days back every time I come home and it's really sweet."
