This live poultry market says that in the rush before Thanksgiving they usually sell 700-1,000 big birds. That's up from their weekly average...of 15.
The Daily News made an excellent video of their visit to La Pera Brothers. If you're not in the mood to visit such a market, you can only go to Staten Island and try catching one yourself.
