India Warriors Of Goja: Amazing Talent Show Video

Warriors Of Goia

If you thought talent shows in the U.S. were intense, check this out.

The 'Warriors Of Goja' blew away the audience of the Indian talent show Adhurs by chewing glass, breaking boards on each other's bodies, and smashing clay pots on their abs with axes, among other feats.

The group of Sikh men put on a stunning performance, showing remarkable endurance as they withstood beatings from wooden sticks and being run over by a car.

The show's female judge looks downright horrified throughout the group's performance.

According to International Business Times, the Warriors of Goja won 300,000 rupees, or about $5,800 USD. However, they did not make it to the show's finals.

Take a look at the amazing video above.

The sheer stupidity exhibited in this video is the only thing that is amazing.

Yeah, okay ... not bad ..... but let's see the Warriors of Goja try THIS:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rFopi6E0R1U

(There's perhaps one talent, out of many, that India has been best known for, over the millenia, and with genuine respect to the Warriors of Goja, munching on flourescent light tubes isn't it. The "Warriors" were quite impressive, though --- and, per the link above .... talent, specifically Indian talent, comes in many forms.)

Pretty young Indian woman dancing.

Her name is Shakti Mohan - she won the "Dance India Dance" contest last season.

"Mumbai's got Talent" wouldn't get past the H&S brigade in the EU without hard hats, goggles, ear defenders, safety harness and protective body armour which would somewhat detract from the viewing experience imo

Why is it only the worst aspects of American culture get exported and mass marketed?

Hey, I'm not worried about these guys. I'm just glad they're doing this instead of getting on planes with boxcutters.

What makes me laugh is not "Afterschool Carl"'s comment, but two people favorited it. Wow. I am more worried about people's ignorance these days.......the Information Age has still not touched many people on this planet.

No kidding! That lady judge sure seemed to think so!*

*Yes, I'm joking. I'm familiar with Sikhism, and recognized the "Warriors" as being Sikh when I first saw them in the video.

Folks,

These young chaps are SIKHS , and NOT MUSLIMS. They were Bread and Born Warriors to Protect India against the Muslim invasion and forced conversion of Hindus to Islam.

If it was not for their bravery and protection, India would have been another Islamic country. These people are the Bravest and the humblest and the most hard working simple people. They are known over 400 years to have protected the borders of India against Islamic tyranny and butchery. Please do not miss judge them. I have been to India and visited these very large hearted people.

Yes.

Sadly, some ignorant Americans (of the "ignorant enough to murder people" variety) have been so ultra-ignorant that they have killed Muslims in retaliation for the 9/11 attacks (which, as most of us know, had nothing to do with mainstream Islam, at all).

What is even more tragic, though, is that the people murdered for being Muslim, in these revenge killings, have included both Sikhs and Hindus.

In my experience, most people, including mainstream Muslims, are fine people.

Cultural and religious ignorance, especially among Americans (and I say this as an American), can be quite staggering at times, though. It didn't take me that much exposure to India and its many religions to be able to understand the differences between Sikhs, Muslims, Hindus, Jains, etc. ... I'm not sure why it's so difficult for some other people.

PS- I have a friend who spent time in the Punjab, and he described the Sikhs as large-hearted as well ... "Awesome people; amazingly generous!" were his exact words, as I recall.

But on the other hand, that lady judge looked like she shot her wad during the performance.

The entire audience, and the warriors, have now ingested mercury from the fluorescent tubes they smashed willy nilly and ate with such abandon.
So while no immediate damage has been done by that trick, expect the consequences later.
One tube, maybe not so bad, but hundreds, like you see in the performance, done on a regular basis? Yeah, give it a few years and these guys will each have an IQ of about 65 and a tremors from the poisonous effects of mercury.

That's a display of ignorance.

Good observation...Thanks for the awareness. We will get the message to these brave young lads and get them some learning. I am from the same area and will take care of it. Cheers

Ah, Newton's third law lives on in the brick trick. Don't know about the fluorescent bulbs, but if they'd been lit immediately before chewing, it would be tougher to confuse with the glass that cowboys always crash through or the bottles they get clobbered with in movie bar fights.

"Ah, Newton's third law lives on in the brick trick." Thanks for that, needs to be pointed out every now and then, unfortunately.

Some of these things are remarkably similar to what Shaolin monks can do (search youtube or google video)---it is NOT fake, and for sure one of the ingredients is a lot of yoga and meditation-
but of course the purpose of the training is not these "stunts"; that's just a way of demonstrating the amazing body control and fearlessness.

So people can open their eyes a little please take the time to read this very important piece to this dialogue....

"The film as well as our country’s history makes it clear how serious of a matter media representation actually is for oppressed communities"
