Justin Bieber Christmas Sweater On The 'Today Show' Cost A Pretty Penny (PHOTOS, VIDEO)

Justin Bieber got into the holiday spirit in style this morning on the "Today Show," slipping into an (ironic?) red-and-white holiday sweater to perform alongside Usher.

Sure, we all have our embarrassing holiday garb. But did your ugly Christmas sweater cost $1,700? Ours didn't.

Biebs' Fair Isle jacket is actually a Junya Watanabe varsity jacket made of wool and leather. The cost? It's selling for $1,650 on Mr. Porter right now. We guess Justin got a little extra cash in his Christmas stocking this year?

But Bieber didn't seem nervous about wearing his pricey jumper as he performed his hit "Never Say Never," and later, songs from his new holiday album "Under the Mistletoe" with special guest Usher. Even his new haircut stayed perfectly in place.

Check out Biebs and his chi-chi jacket below in our slideshow below, and watch the video to see it in action.

CORRECTION: In an earlier version of this story, the designer's name was misspelled. It is Junya Watanabe.

This kid can't sing or do anything else right. Being a wannabe in everything he does will not promote a talent he's trying to be. Just look at the way he wears his pants. This so called gangster look was suppose to have gotten its start in the prion system. I hope this little boy never has to go there. He'll surely be a miss if he ever get out alive. Those boys can't wait for this sissy to get there.

What the heck happened to his other hand? Zoom in - the cuff and hand are missing. What was he holding that was so offensive they had to remove it entirely, and Photoshop this against a new background?

There have always been teen idols. But they were more talented than Bieber. Justin just cannot sing. His fans can't tell because they are screaming so loud. Usher on the other hand can sing...so, he has to help out his little money making protege cash cow! lol

I could never understand why people are so wildly anti-Beiber, but listening to him massacre that song helps.

Big mistake having Usher join him. Usher was smooth as silk and made Justin's desperate efforts to sing even more obvious.

However, I thought Beiber's sweater-jacket was cute; and wonder what happened to Usher: his suitcase with his nice clothes in it was stolen, or what?

Would someone who works with Justin Bieber please tell him to pull his sagging pants up when performing. He spends too much time pulling his shirt down to cover his exposed butt (something we do not want to see). He seems to be such a clean cut young man, but wearing his pants like those in prison do and like ghetto rappers is sad to see and off putting. Please sit down and school him on this obvious blunder.

Hi, Canadian here. Yes the sweater is ugly. But I've seen an uglier one on Arnold Schwarzenegger (or however it is you spell that name :)

Wow, what a snarky and judgmental article. Fashion is not an objective art. We don't all have the same taste in clothing. It is Bieber's right to wear what he wants - obviously he liked it and plenty of other people did too. It's also his right to spend as much as he wants on clothes. He's a millionaire and he can afford it.

Snarky and judgmental is all the HP offers in the Style section, always. I don't why they think that's the only way to get clicks or something.

Where is this boy's mother? As much as he charges teenagers for his tickets, he does not have to flaunt the fact that he was dumb enough to pay almost $2,000 after taxes for a seasonal sweater. A lot of teenagers have to rake leaves, shovel snow, do whatever to buy his tickets. His mother should teach him how to be more sensitive to his audience. My kids will never, ever go to one of his concerts, never.

"Where is this boy's mother?"

He is 17. I think he can pick out his own clothes.

"As much as he charges teenagers for his tickets, he does not have to flaunt the fact that he was dumb enough to pay almost $2,000 after taxes for a seasonal sweater."

Jealousy can be torture for some.

"A lot of teenagers have to rake leaves, shovel snow,"

Pissed that you have ugly kids who can't sing and will work
at Walmart for the rest of their lives?

"His mother should teach him how to be more sensitive to his audience."

Especially since he was "flaunting" that sweater that NO ONE could tell was $2000.
except fashion insiders.

"My kids will never, ever go to one of his concerts, never."

Because he wears expensive clothes?
I'm sure he's hurt, probably make a dent in his profits.

Get Over yourself.

Right on!! Why so jealous. I am not into his music(being much much older would explain it) Tweens like him,( remember when you were that age?)It does not matter what the price of his clothing is. I like your post. You make a lot of sense.

Do you determine which concerts your children are "allowed" to attend based on the purchase price of seasonal sweaters worn by the artists? This must be difficult, since this is the first time I've seen such information disclosed. If it becomes a trend, I caution you, you are in for a shock, and your children are going to be staying home a lot. Pop stars do not shop at the Sally Ann. Do you have any idea how much income this kid is earning?
