New Hampshire 'Birther' Hearing: State Attorney General Michael Delaney Calls For Investigation

Orly Taitz Obama Birth Certificate

The Huffington Post   First Posted: 11/23/11 01:37 PM ET Updated: 11/23/11 02:03 PM ET

New Hampshire Attorney General Michael Delaney asked State Police to investigate a Ballot Law Commission hearing on Friday involving several state representatives and "birther queen" Orly Taitz that turned ugly after the committee unanimously rejected an effort to have Obama removed from the state presidential ballot because she claimed that his birth certificate was a fake.

Taitz testified before the committee, alleging the president's social security number was not valid and his birth certificate was forged. The committee rejected her argument, saying it did not have the jurisdiction to assess the validity of the document.

The White House released the president's long-form birth certificate in April after his campaign released a scanned copy. Some, however, refuse to believe that Obama was born in Hawaii in 1961.

"Traitors!" shouted one woman after the committee vote. "Shame on you!" yelled another.

"Saying a treasonous liar can go on our ballot?" yelled Republican state Rep. Harry Accornero after the meeting. Accornero and Republican state Rep. Susan DeLemus yelled in Assistant Attorney General Matt Mavrogeorge's face after the hearing, according to a memorandum he wrote. DeLemus demanded an answer from Mavrogeorge on "whether the United States Constitution trumps New Hampshire's laws regarding the qualifications for president." After the hearing, he and Assistant Secretary of State Karen Ladd locked themselves in an office and called capitol security and the attorney general's office. Crowd members yelled and banged on his door, he said.

Delaney wrote that he was "extremely concerned that a member of my staff was put in a position of fearing for his safety" in a letter to the state police.

Republican state House Speaker Bill O'Brien cancelled a planned Tuesday meeting between himself and nine Republican representatives who doubt Obama's citizenship because of the pending investigations. He also asked State House security to investigate the incident.

Accornero told the Concord Monitor that he did not think the investigations are necessary. "A lot of us were - I wouldn't even say angry, but just upset about how the system works," he said. "People have a right to express their opinion."

Ok, I had trouble following that story... so much of it depended on links to clarify exactly ho did what... did the birthers attack or was it the others attacking the birthers? or was anyone one actually attacked? Or was it a show to stir drama?

Can anyone help me sort that out?

Why is she so against Obama, and NOT Bush, W., Clinton, Reagan, Ford, Nixon, Johnson, Kennedy? Maybe they were not born in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Arkansas, Iowa, Michigan, Texas, Massachusetts respectively. Maybe they were born in Canada? But then again, we are 'talking' Orly Taitz. A 'woman' who has more twists than an entire factory of pretzels

According to the official ruling by the Ballot Law Commission there are only two requirements in order to run for President in New Hampshire: You have to pay $1000 and You have to follow instructions in order to fill out the proper form. YOU do not have to be a natural born citizen, you do not have to conform to the Constitutional criteria in any way. You don't even have to a citizen. Pay attention folks: ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS PAY AND FILL OUT A FORM. They broke their own laws and abused their office to put Obama on the ballot. Under this NEW criteria Abdul Hassan and Sal Mohammad, both naturalized citizens should have been put on the ballots. Why were they turned down? The official reason was because they were not natural born citizens. We no longer live in a Constitutional Republic.

Even if she tried to run for President, she would not get it past the Board of Electors. One MUST be BORN IN THE United States, or any of it's Territory's to take a shot at the Presidency.

Again, some people just cannot stand having a "black" man as President.
02:11 AM on 12/01/2011
Some people can't stand having a ''white'' man as president. What's your point? I'll take Herman Cain or Allen West. How about you?. If you say no, you're a racist. Hah !

You're not honestly trying to pretend that the birther movement isn't grounded in racism, are you? It's plain to anyone who's not a crackpot that it is.

Obama Failed E- Verify

CLick the link for the full Article. The woman in the article used biographical data for Obama posted on the white house web site (name birth date and SSN) and submitted that info to E-verify (the system used by employers to weed out illegal aliens). The results she got back indicated SSN mismatch. In other words, the SSN provided by Obama is fraudulent.

DeLemus demanded an answer from Mavrogeorge on "whether the United States Constitution trumps New Hampshire's laws regarding the qualifications for president."

If this "representative of the people" can't figure that one out, he should go ask some 12 year old who took a civics class, and then resign as incompetent to hold office.

The answer is yes, the Constitution trumps NH law when it comes to the qualification to run for President. That is the heart of the controversy. A natural/native born citizen is one born on US soil to US citizen parents. Both, not one or the other.

There are a number of people who contribute money to Oily and her numerous jaunts around the country screeching her BS about the president. They also donate frequent flyer miles to her. They do say a fool and his (or her) money is soon parted!

it will show who is backing this person t ocontinue to keep this ridiculous fraud alive to distract from the important issues we face. and that person or group should be investigated for fraud too, as using this idea as a fund raiser is obviously illegal.

I think the time has come for BO to declare that anyone who opens their mouth about his citizenship in any capacity must provide proof of their own citizenship TO A HIGHER LEVEL THAN HE HAS.

If his proof is so bad, and they can't do any better, then deport them.

Apparently the Majority Leader doesn't. Read his letter to Taitz:

Beware of following the link to Taitz' site as it often hosts nasties.

And Deputy Majority Leader Shawn Jasper (R), Hudson, NH seems to agree:
