Jerry Sandusky Victims: Child And Youth Services Investigating Alleged Abuse Of Victims Still Under 18

Jerry Sandusky Cys Abuse

The Huffington Post   First Posted: 11/23/11 03:00 AM ET Updated: 11/28/11 08:28 AM ET

According to Sara Ganim of The Patriot-News, Children and Youth Services in Pennsylvania have begun investigating two new cases of alleged sexual abuse by former Penn State football coach Jerry Sandusky. The fact that these two news cases are being investigated by CYS indicates that the potential victims are currently under the age of 18.

This report came on Tuesday, just hours after Sandusky's lawyer, Joseph Amendola, revealed on ABC's "Good Morning America" that he fears more charges could be leveled against his client.

"My concern is if they bring new charges based upon new people coming forth, that bail's going to be set," Amendola said to "Good Morning America." And he's going to wind up in jail."

Ever since Sandusky's Nov. 5 arrest on charges that he abused eight boys over a 15-year span, new accounts of alleged abuse have surfaced. Less than a week after Sandusky's arrest, FOX 29 in Philadelphia reported that the number of victims that had come forward was already double the number from the grand jury report. Subsequent reports indicated that the alleged abuse by the longtime defensive coordinator and founder of a charity for at-risk youth could have begun as far back as the 1970s.

With the two new cases being investigated by Children and Youth Services involving minors -- investigations involving possible victims of child abuse who have since turned 18 are investigated by the police -- attention may shift from when the alleged abuse began to how recently it could possibly have taken place.

Of the eight alleged victims identified in the grand jury report, the boy identified as "Victim 1" details the most recent abuse, citing sexual contact with Sandusky in 2007 and 2008. The mother of "Victim 1," who is now 18, recently spoke with The Huffington Post.

You are not going to be telling me a kid yelling in the basement of that house could not have been heard by Sandusky's wife! Was she deft? Didn't she know a kid was down there? Didn't food have to be going up and down the stairs? She was an enabler.

It is a real shame so many kids have had their lives torn asunder by this total child rapist. AND, he still justifies by saying he "enjoys boys and even girls". Right. Creep.

Ever been to the Blue Grotto in Capri? Well, we have. I even swam in there. Emperor Tiberus had a real penchant for little boys and girls and once he got tired and wanted a new model he would have them marched up to the top of the hill and flung into the sea. Right above the Blue Grotto.

Sickos have to leave their hands off kids. Hope they throw the book at this guy. Maybe he will find true love and contentment in the big house. Will have lots of company. *&*&****

Bail should be denied and he should go to jail pending trial. Pedophiles can't be cured. They can only be locked up and kept away from children.

I thought he would do that the first night he went home, but he seems to believe he can beat the charges. It's that same child-like characteristic Michael Jackson had - protesting their innocence and really believing it. I don't get that mentality.

just as repulsive as last week. Still cannot understand how someone walked in on him raping a child and did not physically and immediately stop it and call police.

He didn't stop the rape because he works at Penn State, a paradise for pederasts.

Why is Sandusky still being protected? By the Judge, first and foremost, with outrageous leniency in the face of 40 counts. The cover-up continues. Are the top officials guilty of pedophilia also? How high up do we have to go to find an honest person?

It could be, that some of them are pedophiles, they have their connection to each other.

The Grand Jury report indicates Sandusky put an amazing amount of energy into seducing boys. He went through the same tortuous grooming with each child, preparing them for further and further violations of their boundaries. And now reports of other sexual abuse are coming out. Everything described so far is textbook pedophile technique.

I hope Pennsylvania doesn't sweep this under the rug, IE: let him walk as has been done so far. Somebody has to do something.
I feel heart broke for all those kids.

They sure kept it quiet for a long time. The fact that Sandusky is still out says a lot about the town. He should be in jail so these boys and others feel safe talking.

Sandusky needs some serious physical punishment from his waist to his knees. He needs to be the victim of the same acts that he inflicted upon the minor boys.

The bad thing is, that he can still roam around and do more harm to other children. If that should happen, the justice system should be able to be sued also by these victims. Pennsylvania justice system, shows, if you are poor, you have no rights and it seems the justice system does not care. All of the people, trustees and all, need to be fired, so they know, if you don't help the victim of a pedophile, you have no rights to a pleasant life.

Go onto the FBI website and click on the contact link, and complain to the PA office. I will contact the Department of Education, as I am outraged at the way Survivor 1 has been tortured by his school's admin and peers. They had no business allowing him to leave school without parental permission. Sandusky is a menace to himself and society.
I would hate to see the coward kill himself before this goes to trial. His release is truly an insult
to all the innocent people he has harmed.

The incompetence at the state and local levels have been proven too many times that they are not qualified to handle the allegations with efficiency nor integrity.
