10 Election Things You Need To Know Today

Want to know what's happening on the campaign trail? Who's up and who's down in the polls? Where you can meet the candidates in person? Here you go:

1. Herman Cain's campaign may be on the ropes (due to allegations of infidelity and sexual misconduct), but he's still swinging. The former pizza magnate has three campaign rallies in Ohio on his schedule today.

2. Ginger White, the Atlanta businesswoman who claims she had a 14-year affair with Cain is now stepping into the spotlight. She gave an interview this morning with ABC's "Good Morning America," in which she said that he was not fit to be president.

3. So if Cain drops out, where will his supporters go? According to The Los Angeles Times, Republicans who don't want to vote for Mitt Romney may consider Newt Gingrich. However, the former House Speaker has been married three times -- and cheated on at least two of his spouses.

4. Instead of focusing on Gingrich's personal life, The New York Times published an article today that explained how Gingrich sold access to lawmakers during the eight years since he started his health care consultancy.

In a variety of instances, documents and interviews show, Mr. Gingrich arranged meetings between executives and officials, and salted his presentations to lawmakers with pitches for his clients, who pay as much as $200,000 a year to belong to his Center for Health Transformation.

5. Gingrich will likely address these allegations during his interview with Sean Hannity of Fox News tonight. He also plans to participate in a "Slice the Deficit" pizza party in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

6. Despite making several major flubs during a speech in the Granite State on Tuesday, Texas Gov. Rick Perry plans to try, try again. Perry will speak at the New Hampshire State House in Concord this morning.

7. Jon Huntsman will also address the New Hampshire State Legislature today. The former Utah governor will then speak to voters at a meet-and-greet in Portsmouth.

8. Former New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson is still fairly unknown among conservative voters -- mostly because he hasn't been allowed to participate in most of the GOP debates -- but now he's in talks with the Libertarian Party about becoming their candidate instead.

9. Although open to listening to Johnson, Libertarian officials are currently hoping Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) will reconsider and seek their nomination at the Las Vegas convention in May. In the meantime, Paul continues to campaign for Republican voters; tonight he'll do so at a town hall meeting in Portsmouth.

10. Lastly, President Barack Obama is slowing returning to campaign-mode. On Wednesday, he'll travel to Scranton, Penn., and urge Congress to extend and expand the payroll tax cut. Tonight, the president will attend campaign events in New York City.
