Keith Olbermann Says He Will Not Respond To Followers After Latest Twitter Feud

Keith Olbermann Puts An End To Twitter Feuds, For Now

Keith Olbermann announced on Tuesday evening that he will no longer reply to tweets.

The Current TV host is normally active responder to his fans and enemies. On Tuesday evening, Olbermann got into a back-and-forth with a few of his followers that resulted in him saying that he would no longer respond to tweets.

The Twitter conversation was about Olbermann's friend and Monday night guest, Richard Lewis.

One of his followers tweeted negatively about the interview and called Lewis by his last name. Olbermann took this as insulting to Lewis and blocked her from following him. When other followers asked him about it, he said she had been "insulting and petty" and added, "you don't insult my friends - by last name - on twitter."

After the conversation went back and forth with multiple followers for hours, Olbermann put an end to the conversation. He tweeted, "Ok, my thanks to everybody, but life is brief. TFN I won't be replying to tweets. #ShowPlugs, photos, Baseball Nerd updates will continue."

Olbermann has responded similarly to Twitter feuds in the past. In May 2011, Olbermann temporarily suspended his Twitter account for what he believed were unwarranted attacks over his handling of the sexual assault allegations surrounding WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.
