Hey, do you think Billy was like Justin Bieber? He was not a very famous singer, to help miley win the role. And also, they would not give the role to Miley because of her age, but because of her talent she won the role. Her father would not even be part of the series. Disney doesn't give a role for someone with no talent, just because his father was a singer. And yes to miley had as much talent as Selena and Demi.

He also scored 8 top ten singles on the Country Billboard Songs list. In his career, he has released 35 charted singles, of which 15 charted in the Top 40. He worked with other country celebs like Dolly Parton, Tanya Tucker, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Kathy Mattea, and Pam Tillis and others.

Selena, Demi and Miley are talented performers, but Miley and her dad, Billy Ray, displayed teamwork as a father and daughter team in the competition for the Hannah Montana role.

Miley obviously got the part because her father's name recognition because she displayed zero talent in her audition.
