Chicago Ice Rinks Open: City's Best Ice Skaters Through The Years (PHOTOS)

Lace 'Em Up, Chicago: Outdoor Ice Rinks Open Citywide

Though they were initially delayed by the city's relatively mild start to the wintry months, ice rinks throughout Chicago are open for business this weekend.

The outdoor rinks -- including ones at Daley Bicentennial Plaza in Grant Park, at Wrigley Field and Millennium Park -- typically begin opening in mid-November, but this weekend marks the first opportunity when all of them are available for the city's aspiring ice etchers. Other locations include rinks at McKinley Park, Midway Plaisance Park, Mt. Greenwood Park, Rils Park, Rowan Park, Warren Park and West Lawn Park.

Looking for some inspiration to brave the dreary weather and risk embarrassing splats in front of your pals? Below we've featured 10 of the most successful ice skaters through the years who have ties to the metropolitan Chicago area, including Olympic champion Evan Lysacek and others. Best of luck with those camel spins and salchows, Chicago!
