First up, it is our pleasure to introduce you to Beth Jones, an L.A. transplant from South Carolina:
What's your one fashion regret?
Trying to fit in in college and only wearing sorority T-shirts and jeans... not a good look for me!
Who influences your style?
I'm influenced by characters from films like Carrie from "Sex And The City," Annie from "Annie Hall," and on and on. I've been influenced by magazines like the old JANE, my college friend Michelle (designer of Quail), and Kelly Wearstler in Top Design.
If you could shop at one store for the rest of your life, what would it be?
My favorite vintage shop here in Orange Country - Elsewhere Vintage.
Who are your favorite designers?
Karen Walker, Chris Benz, Suno, Rachel Roy are always favorites.
What are the five essentials in your closet?
Vintage fur vest, high-waist pants, hats galore, cocktail rings and platform shoes.
Who takes your photographs?
My fab hubby!
Why did you start your blog?
I started a blog called The Vintage Society in January 2007; it was going to be about the store I planned on opening. Things changed and I re-branded to B. Jones Style in 2010.
Do you read any other blogs?
Yes. I love Le Fashion, Dustjacket Attic, The Glamourai, Lust for Life, Fancy Treehouse, Tales of Endearment, and Design Love Fest.
What are your interests aside from blogging?
Flea market, vintage and thrift hunting. Interior design and traveling to cities around the world with my hubby.
Which beauty products can you not live without?
My ridiculous amount of lipstick, Laura Mercier Tinted Illuminating Cream, MAC's Sculpt Foundation, and Makeup Forever concealer!
What are your tips for aspiring bloggers?
Create content that is true to you, have a clean blog that has great (and good quality) photos.
Can you explain the title of your blog?
B. Jones Style - it's my name, and about how style seeps into every nook and cranny of my life.
Describe your perfect outfit?
Something quirky, a bit unexpected and probably involves a hat, cocktail rings, fur and platform shoes.
