Mile-High Club Couple Arrested After Found In Airplane Bathroom Together

Mile High Club

An Australian couple were arrested over the weekend for trying to join the "mile high club" in a Jetstar plane's bathroom.

The unidentified 44-year-old man and 39-year-old woman were arrested Saturday morning, news.com.au reports.

The man, who reportedly became "abusive" towards cabin crew after the duo was found, is being charged with disorderly conduct. His mile-high partner, however, was released without being charged, Adelaide Now reports.

A Jetstar spokeswoman told Adelaide Now that the airline doesn't allow passengers to "enter the toilet in pairs." "They would be asked to come out," she added. "If they comply there are no further questions asked or action taken."

A poll released earlier this year showed that 95% of travelers want to become part of the Mile High Club (20% claim they already have.)

Flights were delayed at the airport at which the plane landed for roughly 30 minutes as the police handled the matter, the Sydney Morning Herald reports.

In November, an off-duty Qantas pilot was scolded for being a little too familiar with a female passenger in first class on a London to Sydney flight.

I guess they'll have to take care of that stuff back at their seat from now on. Oh the swingin' 70's are so far gone. The whole world's gone neocon.

What's the big deal about the Mile-High Club? Thousands of people have sex in Denver every damned day of the week and you don't hear them boasting about it...

Why not just bring along a few hookers on each flight? Then you could buy a warm beer, a quarter ounce unopenable bag of peanuts, or a bang in the bathroom. It would work especially well with Virgin Airlines.

Well, if the airlines allowed for "twosome-privacy-time" in flight, then it would most likely take away the Thrill/Rush of becoming part of the "Mile High Club". Thus, it wouldn't be such a "cool" thing to brag about...

Here's an idea...why don't the strapped airlines sell time in privacy booths ?

Just take one toilet and set it aside for that purpose. Problem solved.

I'd pay a little extra for that..

It would definitely help to pass the time on those long haul flights....

Well if so many people want to join the club make and area on the plane and charge a fee. You get so many minutes or something like that. If it keeps me from paying a bag fee I am all for it lol

LOL I just read an article that an airline is really doing just that, no joke. They are going to charge 450$ for an hour for a secluded flight with a couch, wine, chocolate...
I wish I saved the link ....sorry I didnt..:(

Besides the fact that their privacy was invaded , I bet it would not have been an issue for people in First Class,
the airlines have made it so unpleasant and fearfull an experience to fly these days , so if your going to sit trapped in a flying can wondering if at any minute you'll either blow up ,or the plane maintence was done. what the hell , put it into perspective ,
meanwhile , any flight with just regular use should have a cleaning team on board, even without the flying nookie , the bathrooms become filthy before mid flight .

Can't be true. Jet Star planes are so damned cramped it's difficult enough to get one person in the toilet, let alone two!

However, when airlines like Singapore Airlines with their suites in first class are basically begging people to join the mile high club (and apparently quite a few people are doing so in them!) they can't then complain if the people in the back of the plane want to experience the same.

It's bad enough when women in public restrooms pee on the toilet seats because they refuse to sit down, making it very unpleasant for those of us with back problems who have to sit. So we then have to clean and cover the seat with toilet tissue (the seat cover dispenser is always empty!). But it's even worse when they leave 'other bodily fluids' there for everyone to have to deal with. I know I damn sure don't want to be exposed to something that could possibly give me a disease, and I think it's selfish, inconsiderate, and just plain nasty for them to do that in such a tiny space.

Just imagine what body parts touched what surfaces in there. Do any of you who are saying what they did isn't wrong want to be touching those surfaces? Do you want your children to touch them?

And people wonder why I always carry antibacterial hand wipes with me. Geez, some people need to learn the meaning of a bit of self control and consideration for others. Or at least hold off just a bit longer and GET A ROOM!

If 95% of traveler want to join the mile high club it sounds like a profit opportunity to me. Airlines could schedule couples flight with scheduled bathroom times and single mingles
11:44 PM on 12/05/2011
That would be great. I wonder if its really 20% of people who have already done it since just this one incident made international news.
