Taylor Swift Still Cares About Being A Role Model (VIDEO)

'I'm Not Repressing This Burning Desire To Be Drunk Right Now'

At this point in Taylor Swift's career, it's hard to imagine the 21-year-old having a scandal of any kind.

Even after dating older men like John Mayer and Jake Gyllenhaal, the love-song writing, cookie baking, endless award winner, has yet to stray from her role model status.

As it turns out, it's because Swift is quite conscious of every move she makes.

At the Billboard Women of the Year Awards on Friday, Dec. 2, Swift told Katie Couric that she doesn't have any urge to act out and that she's, "not repressing this burning desire to be drunk right now" and "doesn't feel like getting any tattoos."

It helps that Swift has strong role models of her own. In the Dec. 10 issue of Billboard magazine, where Swift covers the magazine as it's Woman of the Year, she says, "I have a lot of role models. Faith Hill is a big role model. Reese Witherspoon is a role model of mine - she's not in music, but I love everything she stands for. Shawn Colvin is a huge role model for me. Her writing has been consistently great and thoughtful..."

The singer who turns 22 next week, tells the magazine, "The reality is what you wear matters. If you're a singer and on TV and in the living room of some 12-year-old girl, she's watching what you're wearing and saying and doing ... For me, when Faith Hill performed on an awards show, everything mattered -- everything she said, did, wore, I tried to copy it. That's what little girls do, so there is a big responsibility and I take it very seriously."
