Anna Nicole Smith Daughter Dannielynn Is Her Spitting Image

And now in your bit of is-it-news: The Today Show this morning had a curious segment on Dannielynn Smith, Anna Nicole Smith's daughter who is now reemerging into the spotlight after rare photographs of her were published recently, four years after her mother's tragic death.

There's no question that Dannielynn -- who went through the death of her mother, brother and a laborious paternity battle in just the five years since she's been alive -- shares her mother's Southern Belle good looks, a notion that filled the segment. The Today Show called her the "spitting image" of Anna Nicole, noting Dannielynn had the same full lips and blonde hair, while also flashing back to an interview with father Larry Birkhead last year holding a sleeping Dannielynn.

"We don't see her nearly as much as you do other celebrity children, one of the reasons we travel back to Kentucky," Birkhead told the show in May 2010.

And there are apparently no plans for this to change.

"Larry said that he's been holding back on actually giving her a modeling career," commentator (and HuffPo Celebrity columnist) Rob Shuter informed audiences on the show. "Several people have approached Larry, he says, and asked if Dannielynn will become a very young model. He said he's not going to push into anything just yet."

At least Birkhead is a caring father who is present and raising her, instead of impregnating other women and hiring a nanny. So what if he got all the $ to do that. There's nobody else in a better position than him.

Huh? What? What part of Anna Nicole's life would you defend? Being a cheap stripper? A drug addict? A gold digger who married an 80-year old geezer for the sole purpose of squeezing money out of his family after the poor old guy died?

Anna Nicole Smith was a bad person. Simple as that. Her child should be shielded from that...and given a chance to grow up into somebody with some basic ethics.

The dad may not be much better...who knows...but he now has a chance to give the child, and perhaps himself, a fresh start. He should do it.

All his dreams of riches had her claims succeeded against her late "husband's" billion-dollars estate went pooooof when the court found them frivolous.
