'Atlas Eets Christmas': The Flaming Lips With Yoko Ono Off Their Christmas Web Site (VIDEO)

Remember when the Flaming Lips wrote a 6 hour song, and everyone knew how kooky they were? And then a few weeks later they wrote a 24 hour song and encased it in skulls, and it seemed like they couldn't get any kookier? Well get ready for everything you believed to shatter like so many song-carrying human skulls, because now there's the equivalent of an infinitely-long Flaming Lips song. It's your fault, really, for thinking everything was set and done. On the band's new kookily-named Web site, Atlas Eets Christmas, holiday songs by the Flaming Lips play non-stop on an infinite loop, like a department store in Terry Gilliam's head.

Today we're listening to the song that started it all, a collaboration with Yoko Ono's Plastic Ono Band also titled "Atlas Eets Christmas." You can hear it embedded in the new site's infinite loop, or stream it alone below. Either way, it should get you pumped for the kookiest happening of them all: Yoko appearing with the Flaming Lips this New Year's Eve, which as we all know is when everything's going to end.

Wow - loving it .
It's like a french 60's film for a few minutes and then in outer space and then back.
( like the ominous moment before you plug in the tree lights and wonder how many bulbs are out )
