Katie Couric To Speak At UVA Commencement

Guess Who Is Speaking At UVA Commencement?

UVA can welcome back one of their own on May 20th.

Katie Couric who graduated from the university in 1979 will be giving a commencement speech there this year.

"Although I've delivered quite a few commencement addresses, I consider it a special honor to be invited by U.Va. to speak at Final Exercises," Couric said in a press release. "My walk down the Lawn was such a memorable day for me, and I can't wait to share the experience with the class of 2012."

Couric is no stranger to commencement addresses. In 2009, she spoke at Princeton's Class Day and in 2010, she exhorted Case Western's senior class to "Bring On The Nerdfest!"
