Ugly Foods That Taste Good

Liver, oysters, squid -- there's a reason you don't see these foods on the cover of glossy food magazines very often. Dishes featuring -- let's face it -- ugly ingredients are often toothsome and sometimes nutritious (after all, people have been eating some of them for centuries), but they're just not ready for their close-up, nor will they ever be. And that's okay -- you can still savor their flavors if you can stand to look at them. Just maybe not while you entertain.
