WATCH: La Escalera: A Show On How Latinos In America Rise To Fame

Tr3s: MTV, Música y Más' show titled "La Escalera" ("The Ladder"), which profiles Latino celebrities and how they've climbed their way to success, premiered Tuesday night.

With "La Escalera," the bilingual channel will allow viewers to see never-before-seen footage and interviews from celebrities themselves and from those who helped celebrities in the path to fame.

"The new biographical series delivers on our audience's appetite for content that casts an inspiring, authentic and positive light on Latinos who have thrived to extraordinary success in this country," said Charlie Singer, the senior VP of content and creative for Tr3s, according to World Screen.

The opening episode on Tuesday night profiled Perez Hilton. The famous celebrity blogger of Cuban descent whose real name is Mario Armando Lavandeira, was named No. 1 in Forbes magazine’s Web Celeb 25 for the years 2008, 2000 and 2010. His site, PerezHilton.com, attracts more than 7.2 million people a month, according to Forbes.

Perez Hilton wrote on his blog after the series premiered, "we were honored to be asked to participate in La Escalera and we truly hope that we are able to inspire young people through this great show!"

Every week a new celebrity will be showcased. The list is very eclectic ranging from Colombian rock star Juanes, actor Wilmer Valderrama, comedian Carlos Mencia, astronaut and politician Jose Hernandez and Puerto Rican music stars Ivy Queen and Tego Calderon.
