I would hope that anyone buying me a present wouldn't call me four-eyes and then give me a bunch of glasses. And why would I want to dry dishes with what looks like a cloth diaper someone has scribbled on? Some of these lists are...oh, I don't know...clueless?

I think it depends on who the gift is for, besides, many like Austen but read other generes, including scifi avidly, as I do...good point.
