During an interview on CNN's "Piers Morgan Tonight," the queen of hip-hop soul opened up about her alcohol abuse and her husband's role in helping her overcome her addiction.

"I was done, I was dying, it was over. I was gonna die, it didn't matter. But I didn't wanna die," she told Piers Morgan. "So when it finally happened, I was like 'Wait a minute, this is not what I want.' But subliminally, I was drinking myself to death."
