Rick Perry's 'Strong' Ad Surpasses Rebecca Black's 'Friday' With More Dislikes On YouTube (VIDEOS) [UPDATE]

UPDATE (CORRECTION): As has been pointed out, Justin Bieber's "Baby" is clearly the most disliked YouTube video ever, with over 2 million dislikes. The wrong comparison was made between Black and Perry's videos because the original "Friday" (which was briefly the most disliked video) was taken down and reposted as a new video.

Rick Perry's controversial anti-gay ad, titled "Strong," has officially upset people.

The reaction has actually been so negative that the posting of the ad on YouTube has just achieved the record for the most dislikes on a single video. The clip surpassed Rebecca Black's now infamous "Friday" music video to claim the top spot as YouTube's most hated video.

Currently, Perry's video has approximately 300,000 "dislikes," while Black's has a little over 253,000. However, at this point, while over 10 million people have viewed "Friday," only about 750,000 have viewed Perry's ad, meaning a stagering 40 percent of viewers have not only disapproved of the spot, but openly expressed their dislike online.

Needless to say, the Perry campaign isn't happy. Their previous ad "Faith" is also posted on YouTube, doesn't prominently display the "Likes" versus "Dislikes" count, and still has over 25,000 "dislikes."

The video itself has been so controversial, that Perry's own staff is divided over it. Sources close to the Perry campaign have told the Huffington Post that even top officials in the campaign were uncomfortable with the language of the ad. Nonetheless, it began running in Iowa on Wednesday.

The Perry campaign's newest ad, "Repeal," which touts Perry's promise to "repeal Obamacare," doesn't give YouTube viewers the option of to Like, Dislike or even post comments below the video, as pointed out by the Perry Presidential blog, maintained by the Houston Chronicle and Hearst Newspapers.

You can watch both Rebecca Black's "Friday" and Rick Perry's "Strong" videos (below). Scroll past the clips to view a screenshots (take at press time) confirming the "dislike" counts on Perry's ad vs. Black's music video.

Rebecca Black's video had over 1 million dislikes. It was taken down a few months ago and then put back up again. Therefore, Rick Perry's video is the third most disliked video on youtube.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The founding fathers included the principles of religious freedom and tolerance into the constitution. The reason for this was the hundreds of years of fighting between different Christian denominations: first between Catholics and Protestants and later between different Protestant sects.

Being a secular government, there is no national or state religion in this country. President Obama is wrongly accused by Mr. Perry of removing religion from schools. This was done in 1962 by the Supreme Court and for good reason. Which branch of Christianity do you want to impose on the public? Or, why not Judaism? Islam anyone? Hinduism? Or, any of a number of religions fellow Americans practice.

As a practicing Christian, I prefer to practice my religion via my church and home. I am sure that my Jewish and Muslim friends would not want a state imposed religion clashing with their beliefs. Religion is best kept out of the public school where it can become a source of conflict.

Mr. Perry practice your version of Christianity, but do not force anyone else. Lest you fall into the practices of the Taliban, in conflict with the ideals of our founding fathers. Remember, their era was known as the "Enlightenment", but from your statements it appears that you were asleep during your history lessons.

Just remember do not curtail anyone else's right to practice their religious beliefs. When you do that, you guarantee freedom of religion and the principles of democracy.

Hey, at least Rebecca Black doesn't think she deserves to be president of the United States. That puts her head and shoulders above Perry in my book, despite how soul-suckingly awful her music might be.

Congratulations on losing the nomination, sir.

Justin Bieber's baby video has over 2 million dislikes and Rick Perry's strong has only about 633,000 dislikes as I write this. Rick Perry's video has been up for less than six days. Justin Bieber's vid has been up since February of 2010. Justin Bieber's video has had 0.67 billion views. Rick Perry's Strong Video has had about six million views as I write this. Justin Bieber's "baby" video has had 3.1 dislikes per 1000 views. Rick Perry's Strong video has had 112 dislikes per 1000 views. I'm going to predict that the Perry campaign will pull the video before it becomes the most disliked video in the history of Youtube.
