Sinead O'Connor Wedding: Singer Discusses Details Of Her Las Vegas Nuptials
When singer Sinead O'Connor decided she was going to tie the knot for the fourth time, she knew exactly where she wanted her nuptials to be held -- Las Vegas.
The "Nothing Compares 2 U" singer told the Irish Independent Wednesday that Las Vegas will be the setting for her "proper rock 'n' roll wedding" to boyfriend Barry Herridge.
"I've been married before, but I've never had my dream wedding in Vegas," O'Connor told the Irish newspaper. "I wanted to do it there because it's casual, quick, not religious and, most of all, very romantic."
And she isn't kidding. Despite the singer's celebrity status, the bride and groom will be the only people in attendance at the wedding -- and in true Las Vegas fashion, the couple will tie the knot "drive-thru" style.
The couple met in August after O'Connor launched a very public search for love -- posting on her website and Twitter about her need to find a mate. Herridge, a life-long fan of the singer, responded with an e-mail that caught O'Connor's eye -- and after meeting in person, the pair fell in love. O'Connor and Herridge are expected to tie the knot Thursday, which is also the singer's 45th birthday.
