Yea Or Nay: Viola Davis's Colorblock Dress

The Hollywood Report held its annual Women In Entertainment Power 100 yesterday at the Beverly Hills Hotel. More than 650 ladies attended the event that for the past 20 years has honored the most talented, successful and driven women in television, film and music.

Viola Davis and her co-star from "The Help" Octavia Spencer were among the many celebs that were on hand to fete the long list of honorees. Oprah Winfrey; chairman of Harpo Productions, Debra Lee; chairman and CEO of BET Networks and Shonda Rhimes; creator of "Grey's Anatomy," "Private Practice," and "Scandal" are just a few of the familiar names that made the list this year.

As you can imagine, there were plenty of power suits and slacks spotted during the red carpet arrivals. But then again, a majority of the attendees were serious business women who are used to commanding board rooms not red carpets. So, it was nice to see a number of celebrities to turn up the glam factor.

BCBGMAXAZRIA was one of the event's sponsors so a number of the starlets and notables worked the red carpet arrivals in the fashion line's beautiful designs. Davis wore a knee length color-blocked dress from the BCBG Runway collection. The yellow panels on the sides and zig-zagged bolt of blue down the center of the dress are flattering touches. The look is a bit more edgy then we're used to seeing from Davis. What do you think of the ensemble?
