War On Christmas PSA (VIDEO)

When we first saw Rick Perry's anti-gay campaign ad for Iowa entitled "Strong," we couldn't believe how much we've been ignoring the issue of Christmas-starved children in America due to gays in the military.

How could we have been so neglectful?

It took the mind of Rick Perry to bring this all-too-important issue to the foreground. And while the ad has already been parodied and people continue to criticize his logic, we thought it only appropriate to help spread further awareness of the children who can't "openly celebrate" Christmas in school with a "War On Christmas" PSA.

There is a war on Christmas, a war with no casualties, costs or any negative effects any one can realistically claim. But it's a war nevertheless.

Which side will you stand on?

corporate christmas, SUCKS.party when you want, have presents when ever YOU want to not when corporate tell you to do it. SHEEPLE, just don't do it. do what you want to do when you want to do it. corporate christmas SUCKS...as does corporate valentines day, corporate mothers' day, corporate birthdays.

Tomorrow, I think I'll cruise the mall and Target, and Walmart greeting everyone with
some version of "a-salaam a lakhem," just to see some pasty white midwesterners heads explode.

*No offense to Islam, as my spelling is probably way off, and I dont believe this greeting signifies any special occasion.

Salaam means 'peace', if I recall correctly. I used to know the way to say 'Peace my friend, and blessings upon you.' I must now rummage through my storehouse.

The saddest thing is that no one is really pointing out that Perry is telling complete lies in that commercial. 100% lies.

Children can pray however they want in schools. They have that right. What Perry is upset about is that the schools can no longer force non-Christians to take part in those activities. They can no longer be abused a captive audience for religious indoctrination by the state.

Though I might declare war on the retailers who put Christmas stuff out before haloween and the darned radio station that starting playing nothing but christmas music since 11/1/11.

The whole point of Christianity is eternal life in God — that's what the passage is talking about. By celebrating Christmas they jeopardize that option.

I know, and when we do something good, like giving to charity or helping a neighbor or just helping a stranger, we are not doing it for hope of reward (heaven) or fear of punishment (he!!), we are just doing it because it is the right thing to do. And it feels good too!

I've done that. I actually had one lady get really really angry at me and she went off on me about how it's Christmas and Jesus.... I stopped listening. I was in total shock. Most people just paused, then laughed.

Make a point of explaining that Jesus was not born in December. I think for most real Christians it's just ignorance that makes them get angry. After all it's their church and preachers that made a fool out of them.
