Adele's Love Life: Artists Talks Dating, Heartbreak

Adele Talks Love, Heartbreak

It's more than an understatement to say that it's been a big year for Adele. The soul singer sold 13 million copies of her sophomore album 21, has been nominated for six Grammy awards and was just named Billboard's 'Artist of the Year.' Even though the heartbreak that was the genesis of such soul-wrenching ballads like "Someone Like You" and "Rolling In The Deep" is still fresh, Adele tells Billboard that she's taken a new lover -- her fans.

"Not having someone to share all this with made me miserable at times, to be honest," Adele told the magazine. "I wanted nothing more than to be in love and be loved back. That was until I remembered I was sharing it with millions and millions and millions of people!"

But the 23-year-old's heartbreak not only spawned a hit record but was further engrossed in personal turmoil because of her success.

"Things have been unearthed and people have crawled out of the woodwork publicly and privately," she admitted. "But that's to be expected. And those things personally have forced me to address things I wouldn't have. I probably wouldn't have until my thirties."

Selfishly, we hope that Adele doesn't find "happily ever after" before we get her next album -- which she says won't arrive until she's at least 25.
