Cory Booker Chris Christie

Portsmouth, NH Patch:

In New Hampshire campaigning for President Obama on Friday, Newark Mayor Cory Booker fired a few jabs at Mitt Romney and his campaign surrogate, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.

Asked if he thinks now is the time to fight, as Obama recently stated, Booker replied that yes, sometimes that's the only way to get the message across.

Cory Booker has done a tremendous job in turning is city around. It takes real people, grounded people to reach out to the voters.

Booker's star may be rising at the correct time.

Sounds a lot like the opneing salvos of a gubenatorial run for the Mayor. Go for the juggular, Mr. Booker!

I normally poke fun at Christie but he looks like a sick sad man in that pic. Kind of feel pity for him.

Cory Booker is lionhearted.
He won't be bullied by Christie, and that ticks Christie off even more than he usually gets.
Christie expects a little push back, he thrives on it.
But Booker can take the heat and give some in return.

Don't make Christie angry; he will stop providing shade for the good people of New Jersey.

Is that a recent pic of Christie? The man looks very unhealthy. And that's not a snarky remark about his weight, he really looks sick,

He regrets bailing on the candidate thing.
Regret can eat you up, or his case, he'll eat it.

Since Obama's first Jersey chief cheerleader & fund raiser Jon Corzine will probably be indited with the MF Global  fiasco, Booker has to step in as the new head cheerleader.

One thing for sure is, the country is doing better economically than the GOP is doing intellectually or honestly. They are bereft of sound ideas and are most definately lacking on their claims of devout Christianity and compassion. There is something very systemic which is causing the current republican candidates to be lacking in so many areas of concern for the welfare of all Americans. Their ruthless obligation to the wealthy and big business, their innate hatred of President Obama and their total disregard for working class men and women are just a few of the reviewable examples via playback that are indisputable. Party first, country last, if at all.

I think they plan to win in spite of majority disapproval. they must have some extrademocratic plan. I don't think they intend to win in the normal count all of the casted votes way.

You bet they have such a plan in progress. That is the reason for all the voter suppression bills being sponsored by the ...picture ID, limited absentee ballots, limited polling places in left-leaning districts, opposition to any redistricting that might favor the majority AND they know that they still own the Diebold machines.

Great comment. Breath of fresh air on here to have some critical thought on either side of the issue. your point is well taken too. their fear and hatred is what guides them. make no mistake about it either, this is all about our president's skin color. nobody likes to talk about it but the 'dog whistle' statements these men and women make are undeniable. We must continue to shine the light on this darkness and reject fear in favor of common good, no matter what side of the aisle you sit.

Mayor let me help you out on some truths about Chris Christie, during his time as NJ U.S. Attorney, and computer hacking by one of Rupert Murdoch's entities:

Gov. Christie And News Corp.'s Hacking Past

USA Christie: Hacking, Shmacking

Murdoch's New York Post Publisher Also Has A Hacking Problem

http://mediamatters.org/blog/201107220011#.TioCy3rz6Nk.facebook

In addition, it seems to me that every time he refers to the people of NJ he portrays such a negative image about all of you. It seems he always makes references to citizens being rude and vulgar and very arrogant. I say this because whenever he is confronted he always states he is used to it because he is from NJ. Is this how all of you want to be seen? He says in this video that he is used to “jokers” like this in NJ and also say “where was I before I was New Jerseley interrupted”.

Yes..This man, who represents the worst stereotypes of NJ, is suppose to be thwarting such images, not indulging them. That is why he came across as a hypocrite when chastising Jersey Shore.

"I thought he was a really good speaker," she said (UNH student). "He's really inspirational."

Hmmm...hope she does her homework. Seems there was a one-term senator that was a product of the Chicago Machine that 'inspired' a lot of people in 2008 with his smile and rhetoric. 3 years later look where we are -- continued high employment, drowning in red ink, letting Wall St still run amok, numerous broken campaign promises, and so on... Yeah, I hope she makes an informed decision when the time comes.

Christie remains the GOP bully surrogate for Romney.

Quite interesting in the age where even the TPGOP professes that they want to stop bullying.
