Chris Wallace Responds To Joe Scarborough's Mitt Romney Allegations (VIDEO)

Chris Wallace's Chilly Response To Joe Scarborough

"Fox News Sunday" host Chris Wallace appeared on "Fox and Friends Weekend," and had some harsh words for Joe Scarborough.

On Friday's "Morning Joe," MSNBC's Scarborough said that Wallace "has never made a secret of the fact that he loathes Mitt Romney." Scarborough added that "Chris Wallace, of course, will deny it, and then throw an insult around because that’s what he’s done in the past."

Wallace was given an opportunity to respond to Scarborough's assertion on Sunday. "Fox and Friends Weekend" host Dave Briggs asked if Wallace wanted to comment on something "a morning host said about him on Friday." He also described the comments as coming "out of left field for a lot of folks."

Wallace also did not refer to Scarborough by name but said, "some people say, and I will take this advice, don't punch down." He continued, "don't respond to folks that are silly and aren't worthy of a response." Wallace added that Scarborough's assessment was "not true," and said that he suspected Scarborough was "trying to get into Fox, with a network that gets higher ratings than he does."
