The 30th anniversary of the "Christmas In Washington" concert took place last night at the National Building Museum. The First Family was on hand to celebrate with Jennifer Hudson, Cee Lo Green, the Band Perry, Nickelodeon star Victoria Justice and the night's main attraction Justin Bieber (insert high pitched girlish scream).

We suspect that the presence of the teen heartthrob might be the reason Malia and Sasha Obama decided to ditch the traditional colors of Christmas in favor of more eye-catching hues.

Sasha looked perfectly adorable in a lavender frock, while Malia radiated in a yellow satin Mabel dress by Elizabeth and James complete with bell sleeves and a gold necklace.

Yellow has been popping up everywhere this season, so it was no surprise to see that Malia was dressed in the bold hue. The 13-year-old has been spotted in several fashion forward outfits lately and is quickly becoming one of our favorite style gals to watch.

And before getting dolled up for the concert, Malia attended Sunday Mass with her family in a pink coat with white detailing that was pulled together with matching plum colored tights and gloves (a true veteran fashionista move).

Here's a look at Malia's uber-stylish ensembles yesterday and all the stars who have stepped out in yellow this season.

HP, and whoever else is doing: leave the children alone to grow up privacy instead of opening them up for discussion. The fault is yours.

Sometimes it is better to just stop reading comments... It is amazing to see the triviality in some people's thoughts. But hey, they have the right to do so...

Haters stop hating and learn to actually be happy for a person.

I do not like to see bad things said about the Obama family but the over the top suck up is just as disappointing. The girls shoud be out of the media, when you put them on display their feelings are bound to get hurt.

How could the Obama women be under dressed? All of the women in the picture have bare arms except Sasha! Some of you people are so hateful...I hope the Christmas spirit hiits you soon!

Malia and Sasha (ages 13 and 10) should not be examined for their fashion choices at their age. They're just kids!

The Obama family is beautiful. Young Sasha is as cute as can be and Malia is fast turning into a serenely lovely and regal young woman.

None of the Obama women are dressed appropriately for either the occasion or the weather.

Why are their fashions gushed over?? I don't get it - none of them have a bit of natural fashion sense. And they are average looking at best. This is ridiculous over the top "guilty white" behavior.

You don't get it, do you?!! Lots of folks admire their fashion sense. We're not talking top models here, so lighten up.

LOL And you are an authority on how the FLOTUS and FDOTUS should dress? I am still laughing. They are quite beautiful and since they are in side a heated facility..appropriately dressed for the weather.

Doesn't Michelle realize how inappropriate her dress is for winter. Yes she has nice arms. Does that mean she can never cover them. She makes me feel cold.
08:07 AM on 12/13/2011
Maybe you're cold because of the cold comment you made.....I never knew there was a dress code for Christmas. I think people wear what they want as long as they are happy with it. Stop hating hater. LOL

Do you live inside the Arctic Circle? Every holiday season I am invited to a festive Christmas party in the grand home of a neighbor where the women wear clothing similar to those worn by the Obama women and I live in the rather chilly upper Midwest. Umm, we do have central heating, however.
